Busara participates in the Science Summit 2025, part of the 80th UN General Assembly (UNGA) to discuss scientific collaborations through dedicated agenda items and sub-items

Busara joins the 80th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) as a participant of the Science Summit 2025 running from September 9- 26th 2025, in sessions conducted in-person at New York City and online. This participation supports the Science Summit’s mission to further collaborations and demonstrate how science supports the attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Agenda 2030. 

The theme of the Science Summit 2025, is The role and contribution of science in attaining the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with the objective of examining what policy, regulatory, and financial environments are needed to implement and sustain the science mechanisms required to encourage genuinely global scientific collaborations across continents, nations, and themes.  

The UN General Assembly (UNGA) is the main policy-making organ of the Organization. It comprises of all the Member States and provides a unique forum for multilateral discussions of the full spectrum of international issues covered by the Charter of United Nations. 

The Science Summit is convened by the ISC Intelligence in Science, based in Belgium and Spain, and works with partner organizations to create an enabling environment for science collaboration.

As the Summit convenes during the UN General Assembly (UNGA), our ambition remains clear, to elevate scientific excellence and collaboration as catalysts for achieving the UN 2030 Agenda,” said Declan Kirrane, Founder and Managing Director of the ISC Intelligence in Science.

Busara’s participation in the UN General Assembly (UNGA) includes:
