OVERVIEW
This research explored the key factors that influence consumers’ decisions when purchasing new clean cooking products, improved cookstoves in specific. It also uncovered how potential consumers evaluate the importance of energy efficiency when selecting these products. Various levels of information on energy efficiency were tested through labels, to identify which level hads the greatest influence on potential consumers.
THEMATIC AREAS
In this context, energy efficiency refers to maximizing heat output while minimizing fuel consumption, resulting in greater fuel savings. For cookstoves, this translates to preparing more meals with the same amount of wood or charcoal, leading to sustained reductions in fuel costs.
