Biography
Gideon is the Vice President for Research, Advisory and Practice at Busara. An economist by training, he has over a decade of experience collaborating with public, private, and social sector partners to develop, implement, and rigorously evaluate interventions that promote sustainable development across the Global South. At Busara, Gideon is responsible for providing strategic and creative direction to the organisation’s cluster of research portfolios. He also leads the Empowerment and Participation cluster, which works with policymakers, civil society practitioners, academics and private sector actors to strengthen democracy and governance outcomes through the application of behavioural research. His areas of expertise include an array of research methods, behavioural science, economics, public policy, political science, business development, strategy, and capacity building.
Prior to joining Busara, Gideon worked as a management consultant at Ernst & Young in New York City as part of advisory teams working with global retail and investment banking clients. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Wesleyan University, CT, U.S.A.
