Biography
I believe data and behavioral science can unlock equitable access to education and financial security. My research asks how insights from projects—like playful learning interventions or insurance literacy studies—can translate into actionable strategies that uplift underserved communities.
Currently, I am engaged in two key projects at Busara. The first focuses on identifying and addressing knowledge gaps in insurance, while the second involves developing a playbook for life course immunizations. Additionally, I have contributed to an EdTech initiative that assesses the impact of educational television on children’s literacy, social-emotional learning, and gender attitudes. My responsibilities have included designing survey instruments, ensuring data quality, drafting reports, and training field teams.

How to build better readers through a television program
Prior to joining Busara, I worked with the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in the Animal and Human Health program, where I conducted systematic meta-analyses of research on zoonotic diseases. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, ongoing surveillance of zoonotic threats became critically important. My work involved reviewing existing literature to evaluate surveillance methods for detecting zoonotic diseases, studying transmission pathways, and analyzing high-priority pathogens such as avian influenza and brucellosis. This research contributed to strengthening global health security by identifying gaps and best practices in zoonotic disease monitoring.
