Biography
I’m passionate about using data and behavioral science to drive meaningful social change. I believe that when we ask the right questions and apply rigorous methods, we can design smarter, more inclusive systems. I often ask myself: How can we bridge the gap between data and decision-making to improve lives, especially in health and development? Through behavioral research, advanced modeling, and systematic reviews, I’ve seen how meaningful change can start with the right evidence and the right approach.
At Busara, I apply behavioral science, data analytics, and evidence synthesis to solve real-world challenges—particularly in health, digital inclusion, and behavior change. My work involves:
- Designing large-scale behavioral studies and experiments
- Conducting systematic reviews to synthesize global evidence
- Developing predictive and quasi-experimental models in R
- Deploying robust surveys via SurveyCTO
- Building interactive R Shiny dashboards for real-time insights
- Translating complex findings into accessible reports and visualizations
I collaborate with researchers, implementers, and policymakers to ensure our work informs strategy and improves lives.
At the Center for Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis (CEMA), I developed advanced predictive models and R Shiny dashboards to support public health strategy across maternal, child, and infectious diseases. Prior to that, I led experimental design and data quality work at Laterite and used sentiment analysis and forecasting to support project management at the Kenya Airports Authority.
Busara outputs
