Biography
I specialize in diagnosing complex systems and generating evidence to enhance health outcomes in resource-constrained settings using human-centered approaches. At Busara, I oversee a portfolio of health research projects, focusing on areas such as contraceptives, female genital mutilation, and vaccine demand and uptake. I lead teams across Nigeria, Guinea-Bissau, and other West African countries, applying behavioral science principles to test and implement interventions.
Prior to Joining Busara, I have held various roles across organizations. Most recently, I served as Director of Data Science for the US-CDC-funded Public Health Information, Surveillance Solutions, and Systems (PHIS3) Project. Prior positions include Data Use/Biostatistics Lead at the Center for International Health and Biosecurity (CIHEB), and Knowledge Management, Research, and Training Lead at Solina Center for International Development and Research (SCIDaR).
I hold an MPH and PhD in Public Health from the University of Darussalam, Brunei, and a BSc in Human Anatomy from Ahmadu Bello University, Nigeria. Additionally, I’ve received training in Leading Change from the Institute of Continuing Education, University of Cambridge, UK, as part of the Queen’s Young Leaders Award.
