Biography
Understanding human behavior is essential for implementation actors seeking to design effective behavior change interventions. With over nine years of experience in research design, project management, and behavioral science, my work focuses on supporting partners across the region to develop interventions that are both evidence-based and behaviorally informed.
I have worked with more than 80 civil society organizations and government agencies across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, and Lesotho, helping them apply behavioral science by incorporating evidence, developing, testing, and scaling behaviorally informed messages to drive audience engagement. A key part of my work also involves facilitating peer linking and learning in our capacity-strengthening initiatives—enabling stakeholders to harness their collective expertise, knowledge, and resources to build a resilient and empowered community of practice.
Additionally, I support organizations in strengthening their data systems by developing tailored, web-based information management platforms. These systems are designed to streamline research processes and improve the integration of data into programmatic decision-making.
One of my key contributions is leading the development of the Low-Cost Message Testing Guide, a practical behavior change communication toolkit designed to help users design, test, and scale impactful behaviorally informed messaging interventions.
I have a Master’s degree in Gender and Development Studies from Kenyatta University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Nairobi.
