
Biography
As a Research Coordinator with BRACE at Busara Centre for Behavioral Economics, Raphael leads and supports in developing and implementing multi sectoral research initiatives that leverage behavioral science to address poverty alleviation. His responsibilities include: conducting literature reviews, guiding study design and contextualization, qualitative, quantitative and behavioral lab research methodologies to gain insights into behavioral aspects affecting people’s decision making in relation to poverty alleviation and its related aspects. In addition, he does overall project management, leads, trains and supervises research teams, implements both field and lab research and performs monitoring and evaluation to ensure quality outputs on the projects he works on.
I have been working on a number of projects guiding their design and contextualization, lead project management for the studies and reporting. Currently working on a lab study aimed at addressing youth unemployment and how they cope or adjust at the workplace. Basically, mental health and how it relates to job search among the youth.
