Biography
The world is in a polycrisis, with multiple challenges (such as climate change, democratic backsliding and conflicts) increasing in frequency and severity leading to a degradation of the structures needed for stable societies in the Global South in particular. I believe it is imperative that we apply the tools from behavioral science to tackle the most pressing problems of our time in order to build stable societies free from major disruptions and conflicts.
I have been at Busara for 7 years, and in that time I have worked towards this goal by working to build responsive and inclusive political systems with civil society organizations, equitable and resilient economic systems with donor agencies as well as effective and reliable public service delivery with researchers and governments. At the heart of these initiatives, my work has focused on improving cooperation and trust at an individual level, social cohesion within communities and strengthening social contracts between citizens and their governments.
I am a member of the Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA) and an alumni of the African Union Youth Volunteer Corps (AU-YVC). I previously served as a consultant for the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and Nottawasaga Institute and also worked for the Japan Overseas Cooperation Association (JOCA) and Pan-African Youth Union (PYU). I have an MA in International Relations from Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and a BA in International Relations from the United States International University (USIU).
