Biography
At the core of many local and global challenges is human behavior—but it’s also through behavior that we can find solutions. Whether working with organizations or entire populations, meaningful change is driven by understanding and influencing individual actions. This is especially true in governance and political systems, where the decisions and behaviors of a few in power can significantly impact the well-being of many.
At Busara, I apply behavioral science to help citizens and civil society organizations hold governments accountable and improve public services. I work with governments, NGOs, and donor agencies to design projects that strengthen governance, increase transparency, and encourage people to get involved in civic life. My aim is to build systems that are fair, responsive, and truly serve the needs of communities.
Before Busara I worked within the behavioural science team of the UK media regulator, Ofcom. I conducted behavioural research into how we can make the online world safer for users and helped translate insights into policy. Prior to that, I worked at a consultancy where I applied behavioral science to enhance public engagement with central and local government programmes. I also have hands-on experience of delivering public services as a front-line homelessness prevention officer for a local authority in the UK. I hold a BSc in Psychology from the University of Exeter and an MSc in Behaviour Change from University College London.
