People and operations
The People and Operations team ensures that our organization runs smoothly. We are dedicated to cultivating an exceptional employee experience and embedding a high-performance culture that fuels our mission. We focus on creating a positive work environment, efficient processes, and strong technology systems. Our team is divided into three main focus areas: People and Culture, Operations, and Software & IT.
a. People and Culture: This team is focused on attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional talent who are passionate about our mission. The team focuses on Talent Management, Employer Branding, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, HR Policy and Compliance, HR Administration and Employee Relations, Culture and Wellbeing, Performance Management and Growth, Employee Advocacy and Support.
b. Operations: This team is the backbone of Busara’s daily work, ensuring seamless efficiency and compliance across all our activities. The team focuses on Office Administration, Research & Ethics Compliance Operations, Event Coordination, and Administrative Support.
c. Software and IT: This team supports Busara’s technological capabilities, providing the infrastructure and support that empowers our teams to conduct cutting-edge research and operate efficiently. The team focuses on Technology Infrastructure and Support, IT Support, Software Development and Implementation, Data Security and Privacy, Technology Training, innovation, and Adoption, Innovation.
Technical vertical
The Technical Vertical at Busara provides in-house expertise across qualitative research, quantitative research, human-centred behavioural design, and visual design to ensure methodological excellence in our engagements.
Sometimes our role is to advise; helping teams choose the most appropriate method, reviewing instruments, or shaping research plans. At other times, we’re more hands-on; designing and implementing parts of the project ourselves. We get involved early, including during business development, to help ensure that the methods proposed are both rigorous and feasible.
Beyond project work, we’re responsible for setting and maintaining methodological standards at Busara. We develop toolkits, conduct method reviews, develop new approaches that we think should become part of how we work. And collaborating with our other methods teams (BRACE and Research Improvement) to ensure we stay at the forefront of emerging approaches and innovations, to ensure Busara remains a leader in research and behavioral science.
We also play a key role in strengthening organizational capacity. This includes developing and delivering internal training and contributing to hiring processes to ensure teams have access to the expertise they need.
Our goal is to ensure that every Busara engagement; whether it’s exploring behavioral barriers or designing large-scale interventions, is grounded in rigorous, thoughtful, and impactful methods.
